Can Trump Finesse To Drain The Deep Swampy Matrix Of The Shadow Government ?

The CIA’s Deep State - LewRockwell:

" The CIA  ...  is the nexus of criminality, and of the Bushes and Clintons, and the world-managing elite. The CIA enjoys a virtually unlimited black budget and virtually unlimited power that is beyond the reach of the law, and beyond the control of the White House...

... Is Trump naïve, uninformed, or playing some Orwellian game? "

New UN Ambassador Threatens Russia Over Ukraine Violence, Demands ‘Return of Crimea’

Forums:

Unbelievable.

What a week in US foreign policy! First President Trump approves a commando raid in Yemen that was a total fiasco, leaving one US soldier and scores of innocent women and children dead. Then Trump’s Iran-obsessed National Security Advisor, Gen. Michael Flynn, hijacks a White House Press conference to put Iran “on notice” over its legal testing of a missile and the false claim that it is involved in the Yemen war.

Report: John McCain, Paul Ryan Funded By George Soros

The non-profit, non-partisan research group based in Washington, D.C., that tracks the effects of money and lobbying on elections and public policy, revealed that while George Soros is responsible for funding Democrats and progressive causes, he has also bankrolled Senator John McCain and a small but select group of other Republicans.

Unsurprisingly, all of the names revealed to receive funding from George Soros have a track record of opposition to President Trump.

It has been revealed that McCain has been sucking on the Soros tit for over 15 years.

Trump Nominates Judge Neil Gorsuch to Supreme Court

Forums:

Sounds like a great choice!

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch on Tuesday evening to fill the seat on the U.S. Supreme Court left open by the sudden death of Justice Antonin Scalia in February 2016.

Gorsuch has embraced a textualist view of constitutional interpretation, including language that suggests he might share Justice Scalia’s view that judges should further construe the text only in a manner consistent with its original meaning.

That same year, Gorsuch authored a scholarly publication about judicial philosophy, in which he explained his view that

an assiduous focus on text, structure, and history is essential to the proper exercise of the judicial function. That, yes, judges should be in the business of declaring what the law is using the traditional tools of interpretation, rather than pronouncing the law as they might wish it to be in light of their own political views, always with an eye on the outcome…

He concluded: “Though the critics are loud and the temptations to join them may be many, mark me down too as a believer that the traditional account of the judicial role Justice Scalia defended will endure.”

Starbucks Stock in Freefall After CEO Disses Trump and Promises to Hire Refugees

Forums:

Democrats and liberal media outlets shed major crocodile tears this past weekend after 109 of 325,000 foreign passengers were detained at US airports over the weekend.

This was very odd because Obama banned Iraqi refugees for six months in 2011 and Democrats said nothing.

On Monday Starbucks Corp CEO Howard Schultz announced that the company would hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years to ease the company’s conscience.

"Can you hear me?" SCAM - Hang up!

Forums:

Police are warning about a phone scam that has hit residents across the country by tricking them into saying “yes.”

The “can you hear me?” scam uses the question common in phone conversations to get people to agree to charges on their credit and debit cards.

It often arrives as a robocall from someone purporting to be a cruise line or home security agency and then records the person being called as soon as they say “yes,” “sure” or “ok,” according to a report from the Better Business Bureau.

Scammers can then use your recorded voice to pretend that you are confirming a desire to buy something, either through the phone company itself or another company.

Rand Paul Unveils an ObamaCare Replacement Bill!

Forums:

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) unveiled an ObamaCare replacement bill Wednesday as part of his effort to urge the GOP to speed up work on an alternative to the healthcare law.

Paul has been pushing his colleagues to have a replacement plan ready to pass simultaneously with repeal of ObamaCare, a demand that has recently been gaining support inside the party. His office noted that President Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) have also reacted favorably to that idea.

"There is no excuse for waiting to craft an alternative until after we repeal Obamacare, and the Obamacare Replacement Act charts a new path forward that will insure the most people possible at the lowest price," Paul said in a statement.

Comey Stays on as FBI Director?

Forums:

Trump Is Keeping FBI Director Comey

The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, told his top agents from around the country that he had been asked by President Trump to stay on the job running the federal government’s top law enforcement agency, The New York Times reports, according to people familiar with the matter.

The political fallout from this decision will make the news cycle buzz today, since Hillary Clinton, the mainstream media, and many Democrats blame Mr. Comey for her defeat, and it is not clear whether she would have kept him on had she won.

We await confirmation - or denial - from The White House. Representatives for the F.B.I. and White House declined to comment.

Rand Paul: Why I voted against the new CIA director

Forums:

I voted against the new CIA Director because I worry that his desire for security will trump his defense of liberty.

Only begrudgingly are the American people being told about the scope of the massive intelligence apparatus that has steadily grown in secret.

Yet when oversight of the intelligence community is most needed, Congress has demonstrated an insufficient appetite for curbing the worst excesses of our country’s domestic surveillance.

The new CIA Director described a congressional report on the CIA’s past use of torture as “a narcissistic self-cleansing.” He went on to say that those senators who voted to release the torture oversight report were “quintessentially at odds with [their] duty to [their] country.”

I couldn’t disagree more.
